Kedai Cao An

Kedai Cao An

Kedai Cao An is a homey kopitiam in Jakarta, at Green Lake City and Fresh Market PIK. Think misoa in 24-hour pork broth, bakmi karet, teh tarik and kaya butter toast. The site is its company profile: the signature dishes, a full menu for each branch, and where to find them (closed Tuesdays, so plan ahead).

What I did

  • One Laravel app for the whole site, with Vite bundling the front end.
  • A menu page per branch: pick Green Lake City or Fresh Market PIK and get that branch's menu boards, in a panel that scrolls on its own.
  • Locations & Hours: both branches with opening times, directions and phone numbers, plus outdoor and indoor photos.
  • Built for phones first, with smooth scrolling and small Alpine.js touches like the menu dropdown.
  • SEO basics: restaurant structured data with both branches and their hours, and a sitemap.
  • UI/UX too: I designed the screens and the flows, not just the code behind them.
  • DevOps: server, deployment and domain set up and kept running.
