BNI Life mobile app
JIVVA by BNI Life is the insurance company's customer app. People sign up, see their policies and digital member card, pay premiums and send in claims without a trip to the office. I led the engineering, working on the Go backend and the Flutter app.

What I did
- Led the engineering team behind the app, from the first plan to the store release.
- The go-between for everyone: business analysts, QA and the client, from gathering requirements to writing the technical documents the team builds from.
- Planned the development and split the work into sprints the agile way, so every engineer knew what was theirs each sprint.
- Integration with the insurer's core systems, so the policies, premiums and claims in the app match what the company has on record.
- Go backend services behind the app: accounts, policies, premiums and claims.
- One Flutter codebase for Android and iOS: sign-up, home with the digital member card, policy details, claims and a provider list.
- Claims you can follow: submit one, then watch its status move from received to processed.
- Worked closely with the UI/UX designers and brought ideas that make insurance feel less like paperwork.
